Laparoscopic Operations, performed on by Professor K.V. Puchkov
Konstantin Puchkov is considered to be one of the best surgeons of Russia in the field of laparoscopic urology, gynecology, general surgery and coloproctology. The professor uses the most advanced methods of surgical interferences in his work, including those techniques that have been elaborated by him.
The main practical trend of Professor Puchkov is elaboration and performing on organ-preserving laparoscopic operations (removal of uterine myomas, cysts and tumours of ovaries, kidney, spleen, adrenal gland, liver), reconstructive plasty for hiatal hernia and hernia of the abdominal wall, surgical treatment of female infertility, as well as treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the urinary tract and GIT.
Professor Puchkov is the first surgeon in the world who:
- Has elaborated and introduced the technique of laparoscopic myomectomy with the temporary occlusion of the uterine arteries, that gives a possibility to preserve a reproductive organ in the most difficult situations, and it gives a possibility to a woman to become a happy mother (2008); he has performed on more than 2,400 operations, using this method;
- Has elaborated and performed on laparoscopic removal of spleen in a pregnant female with the hematologic crisis (1997).
Operations that are performed on by Professor K.V.Puchkov for the first time in Russia:
- The unique simultaneous operation – laparoscopic hysterectomy , right hemicolectimy with intracorporeal anastomosis creation and extraction of specimen via vagina (N.O.S.E. technique) (January 14, 2013);
- The unique miniinvasive operation for retrocervical endometriosis, Stage 4, - laparoscopic resection of rectum and posterior fornix of vagina with vaginal assistance (anastomosis forming and removal of intestine transvaginally) (August 29, 2011);
- Laparoscopic total coloprotectomy with ileoanal anastomosis forming, through single incision (according to S.I.L.S. technique) ( February 19, 2011);
- Single-port simultaneous operations ( according to S.I.L.S. technique) for organs of abdominal cavity and small pelvis (2009);
- Transvaginal cholecystectomy, using N.O.T.E.S. technique, giving a possibility to perform on an operation without incision on the anterior abdominal wall and postoperation scars on the skin (2008);
- Laparoscopic partial resection for the tumour of the adrenal gland (2002);
- Laparoscopic hysterectomy with the anterior resection of rectum for infiltrative endometriosis (1997);
- Laparoscopic and vaginal correction of the pelvic prolapse (1997);
- The unique simultaneous operation – laparoscopic hysterectomy and anterior resection of rectum for cancer with anastomosis forming and intestine removal transvaginally (1997);
- Laparoscopic removal of the giant presacral cyst (1995);
- Laparoscopic simultaneous rectopexy and promontofixation for the combined pelvic prolapse of rectum and uterus (1995);
- Laparoscopic spleenectomy and spleen resection (1995);
- Laparoscopic gastrectomy for cancer (1995).
By this time Professor K.V. Puchkov has performed on more than 19,000 operations where all organs of the abdominal cavity and small pelvis have been involved. Some operations have been performed on, using a single port in the umbilical area (according to S.I.L.S. technique) or without incisions on the anterior abdominal wall, using transvaginal method (according to N.O.T.E.S. technique).
The description of all these interferences have been published in numerous monographs and scientific articles. About twenty patents have been given to Professor K.V. Puchkov for the unique author’s methods of some operations.
Professor Puchkov K.V. regularly operates European patients, having different surgical diseases in Switzerland on the basis of the Cantone hospital in Freeburg and private clinic Clinique Vert-pre in Jeneva. Besides, the Professor regularly delivers lectures and performs on operations during master-classes in the International centres of Endoscopic Surgery and in educating hospitals of France, Italy, China, Kazakhstan.
